Advantages of Automotive LED Lights:

  1. Good monochrome, rich and bright colors. The color saturation reaches 130% full color, making the light clearer and softer.

  4. Low luminous flux of a single LED. The current research level of a single LED’s luminous flux can reach 120lm/W, and the product level is less than or equal to 60lm/W. High-power LEDs often require larger heat sinks, so LED light sources generally adopt an LED array design method.
  5. The luminous efficiency of LED decreases with temperature increase. Generally, the chip will fail when the temperature exceeds 120℃. Thermal design must be considered in the process design of lamp assembly manufacturing.
  6. Long lifespan, good shock resistance. LED is a semiconductor component. Unlike incandescent lamps, LED does not have fragile moving parts like glass and tungsten filaments. The failure rate is extremely low, maintenance-free.
  7. High efficiency, low energy consumption. LED light sources do not need color filters and can directly produce the red, amber, and other colors required by automotive lamps without loss, with an electricity utilization rate of up to 80%.
  8. Green lighting source. LED spectrum has good monochrome properties, no extra infrared, ultraviolet, and other spectra, contains no mercury harmful substances, low heat and radiation.
  9. Planar luminescence, strong directionality. It is different from the point source incandescent lamp, with a viewing angle of less than or equal to 180°. When designing, it is necessary to pay attention to and use LED light sources with different viewing angles, not greater than 180°.
  10. LED is a multicomponent compound semiconductor component. The characteristics of multicomponent compound semiconductor components are that their electrical, optical, thermal, and mechanical parameters are very discrete. In the design, this characteristic should be fully considered, requiring component manufacturers to strictly classify and grade components according to the requirements of automotive LED light sources.
